This original painting is part of my ‘Summer Brunch’ series which features various food combinations on top of bright, patterned tablecloths. This series was inspired by the food photography of Lauren Rea, an Australian food influencer.
I was drawn to the vibrant colours, reflections and texture and wanted to try and capture the feeling of having a tasty brunch with friends on a warm summer morning.
This particular painting was a fun challenge to try and capture the transparency of the glass jug filled with tea alongside the reflections on the tea cup saucer.
These pieces make me smile and I hope they bring you joy too.
