Home in the Hemlocks Branding

The brief

Home in the Hemlocks is a brand based on the family home and interior design of an American couple called Alex & Elizabeth. They share approachable guides on choosing art, building colour palettes, and styling a space that feels collected, not decorated. They use their platform as a place for colour-lovers, art-hunters, and anyone who wants their home to feel a little more like them.

They were already well established with a large social media presence but needed to take the next step and have a custom brand and website developed.

The Brand design Process

Analysis

Even though Home in the Hemlocks didn’t have any official branding yet, they had already developed a really consistent style through their high quality photography and tone of voice in their newsletters and social media posts.

They already had a strong audience base so we needed to make sure the brand matched their existing style.

Their style is vibrant, fun, whimsical and joyful. I could tell through their interior design that they weren’t afraid of colour - there was already and underlying colour theme with pops of yellow and red which I could draw from their photography to ensure the brand matched their style.

It was time to get designing.
